Port Stephens homes are built around the view, which means oversized glass and stacker doors. We lift panels up to 600 kg on vacuum with the glass lifter, straight over the deck and into the opening — no manhandling on a waterfront slope.
Marina and canal blocks are narrow, and the power often runs across the front. When the street is blocked we take the load through the house or down the side with a pick and carry setup — exactly what we did on the Salamander Bay steel job.
Shells lifted over the roof from the street, or tracked around the side when trees and wires block the arc. The carrier walks the shell to the back and the crane sets it down — common on the sloping blocks around Soldiers Point and Corlette.
Salamander Bay, Nelson Bay and Anna Bay are full of holiday homes being rebuilt and extended. A mini crane places steel, trusses and materials from the driveway on sites too tight for a truck crane.

The steel-through-the-house job above is ours. Powerlines killed the front approach, so the crane stayed at the street and the tracked carrier walked the beams in through the doorway. We know what these Port Stephens blocks throw at you because we have already solved one.
The win on a marina block is fitting through a 750 mm gate and setting up in a courtyard, not raw lifting capacity. Compact tracked cranes get in where a Newcastle truck crane simply cannot reach the load.
Ground near the bay goes soft fast. Low ground pressure on rubber tracks, plus outrigger mats, lets us set up safely on sand and reclaimed blocks instead of parking out on the hard road.

That is the whole point of the machines. The Maeda 285 fits through a 750 mm gate, and when the street or the front is blocked — powerlines, a narrow canal block, no side access — we carry the load through the house or down the side with the tracked carrier. We did exactly that here at Salamander Bay.
Can you lift big glass into a bayfront home?
Yes. The Glassboy vacuum lifter handles panels up to 600 kg, so we place oversized glass and stacker doors straight into the view without a crew wrestling it up a waterfront slope.
