How much does crane hire cost in Sydney?+
Mini and spider crane hire in Sydney typically runs from around $195–$205 per hour plus GST, operator included. The exact price depends on the machine, lift height and weight, and site access — send your item weight, lift height and a photo of the access for a fast fixed quote.
Do your cranes come with an operator?+
Yes. Every hire is wet hire — the crane arrives with a qualified, ticketed operator, riggers if required, a lift plan and full insurance. You don’t need a crane licence or to train your crew.
Do you offer mobile crane or Franna hire?+
We specialise in mini and spider (tight-access) cranes rather than truck-mounted mobile or Franna cranes. If your site has open street access and a very heavy or high lift, we’ll tell you honestly that a mobile crane is the better option — but for backyard, indoor, rooftop and narrow-access lifts, our spider cranes reach where mobile cranes can’t.
How much space does a mini crane need?+
Our Maeda MC285 is just 750 mm wide — it fits through a standard doorway and down most side passages. The larger MC305 is 1.28 m wide for heavier lifts. If you can walk down the side of the house, we can usually get a crane in.
Can you lift into a backyard or over a house?+
Yes — backyard and over-the-house lifts are our specialty. Our spider cranes set up in the yard or a side passage to place pool shells, steel, spas, HVAC units and landscaping materials where trucks can’t reach. Send a photo of your access and we’ll confirm the right machine.
Can the crane work indoors or on a rooftop?+
Yes. Spider cranes work indoors (plant rooms, atriums, fit-outs) and on rooftop and upper-floor lifts. They have a light footprint and travel across finished floors on mats to protect surfaces.

All of Sydney and the Central Coast, mobilised from our Rydalmere and The Entrance depots — including Parramatta, Blacktown, Liverpool, Bankstown, Penrith, the Hills District, Sydney CBD, Ryde and surrounds.
