Crane Hire Hills District

The Hills · acreage, estates + big builds

Crane hire Hills District — room to build, no room to lift.

The Hills has Sydney’s biggest backyards and its trickiest lifts: pools going in behind established homes, trusses over double-storey builds at Kellyville, sheds and steel down long tree-lined drives in Dural and Kenthurst. Our compact Maeda cranes thread the gaps — part of our crane hire Sydney coverage, 25–35 minutes from the Rydalmere depot.

What the Hills calls us for

Big blocks don’t mean easy access — the lift point is always behind something. These four jobs fill the calendar.

Pools & spas behind the house

The Hills is Sydney’s pool capital, and nearly every shell goes in behind an established home. We lift over the roof from the driveway — or run the pick and carry relay down the side when trees or wires block the arc.

Acreage & lifestyle blocks

Dural, Kenthurst, Glenhaven and Annangrove: sheds, stables, water tanks, steel and machinery down long drives and across paddocks. Rubber-tracked crawler cranes handle the ground; the carrier hauls what trucks can’t reach.

Big-home builds

Kellyville, North Kellyville and Box Hill are stacking double-storey homes on shrinking lots — trusses, steel beams and materials placed from the kerb with a mini crane that doesn’t need half the street closed.

Tree-lined everything

The Hills grows real trees — and they hang over every driveway and boundary. We plan boom paths around canopies and powerlines from your photos, and thread lifts a bigger crane physically can’t attempt.

Local knowledge that saves you money

Steep drives, no problem

Glenhaven and West Pennant Hills blocks fall away hard from the street. Tracked machines climb what wheeled cranes refuse, and outrigger mats level the setup on sloping ground.

Established gardens survive us

525 kg of tracked carrier spreads lighter than a loaded wheelbarrow convoy. Lawns, pavers and garden beds stay intact — we bring the mats and timbers as standard.

Close enough to be flexible

The Hills runs 25–35 minutes from Rydalmere via the M2 and Windsor Road, so mobilisation stays small and same-week slots are realistic — handy when the pool arrives early.

Builders on repeat

Estate builders through Kellyville and Box Hill run frame-stage and truss-day schedules — we hold recurring slots so the crane is never the holdup on your program.

Hills District questions

How much does crane hire cost in the Hills District?

From $195–$205 per hour with a ticketed operator included, depending on the machine and access, with a 6-hour site minimum. The tracked carrier adds a flat $800/day when loads need moving across site. Travel from Rydalmere is typically 25–35 minutes, and every quote is fixed in writing before you book.

Can you lift a pool over my house?

It’s our most common Hills job. The crane sets up on the driveway or street and places the shell over the roof — up to 2.98 t with 12.5 m of hook height. Send a photo of the house and backyard and we’ll confirm the arc before you book.

Will you damage the lawn or garden on an acreage block?

No — that’s the point of tracks. Low ground pressure plus outrigger mats and timbers keeps lawns, pavers and beds intact, and the 525 kg electric carrier moves materials lighter than any machine its size.

What about trees and powerlines over the driveway?

The Hills speciality. We plan the boom path around canopies and wires from your photos before we arrive, and where the arc is blocked we switch to the side-access relay instead of cancelling the lift.

Can you work on steep or sloping blocks?

Yes — tracked machines climb steep drives and the outriggers level the crane on sloping ground. Glenhaven and West Pennant Hills gradients are routine.

How fast can you get to a Hills site?

Usually 25–35 minutes via the M2 or Windsor Road, and we run 24/7 — urgent and same-week bookings are often possible. Text a photo of the load and the access to 0434 242 777 and we’ll confirm machine, price and the next free slot, usually the same day.
