The Peninsula’s flat blocks make it granny-flat heaven — and every build needs materials over or around the main house. Our pick and carry crew walks loads down the side through a 780 mm gap.
Booker Bay, Blackwall and the bay streets sit right on the tide line, on ground that never really firms up. Rubber-tracked crawler cranes and outrigger mats make soft ground a non-event.
View glass into Ettalong and Pearl Beach homes on vacuum, spas over cottage roofs, decks and renos — small-footprint lifts done neatly with the glass lifter when the panels get serious.
Local knowledge that saves you money
One main road feeds the whole Peninsula, and it jams at school run and summer weekends. We time arrivals around it and plan oversize movements properly, so the crane isn’t burning your budget in traffic.
Reclaimed, sandy, high water table — Peninsula ground swallows wheeled machines. We arrive assuming soft ground: tracks, mats and timbers as standard, no surprise variations on the day.
Narrow carriageways, low wires and cars both sides. One truck, a parking-bay footprint and a boom path planned around the powerlines keeps the street open and the neighbours calm.

From $195–$205 per hour with a ticketed operator included, depending on the machine and access, with a 6-hour site minimum. Is the soft Peninsula ground a problem for a crane?
Not for ours. We arrive assuming soft, sandy, high-water-table ground — rubber tracks, low ground pressure, outrigger mats and timbers as standard. It’s the wheeled cranes that get stuck out here, not us.
Can you lift materials for a granny flat build?
All the time — it’s the Peninsula’s favourite build. Frames, trusses, roofing and bathroom pods go over or around the main house, or down the side on the carrier through gaps as tight as 780 mm.
Our street is really narrow — will you fit?
Yes. Everything arrives on one truck and the crane sets up inside a parking-bay footprint, with the boom path planned around the low wires before we arrive. Most lifts run without closing the street.
How fast can you get here with only one road in?
About thirty minutes from The Entrance depot — and because we’re local we know exactly when Woy Woy Road jams and plan around it. Urgent and weekend lifts are genuinely possible.
