Crane Hire Central Coast

Crane Hire Central Coast · The Entrance Depot

Crane hire on the Coast, from a crew based on the Coast

Our second depot sits at The Entrance — so when your job’s in Terrigal, Tuggerah or Woy Woy, the crane comes from up the road, not up the M1. Spider cranes and a tracked carrier built for the Coast’s steep driveways, sandy blocks and tight beach-house access, operator always included.

Why local matters

No Sydney mobilisation. No Sydney wait.

Most “Central Coast” crane hire is a Sydney outfit doing a road trip. Ours isn’t — the machines live at The Entrance, and that changes three things about your job:

Travel measured in minutes

Bateau Bay, Long Jetty, Killarney Vale — we’re there before a Sydney truck clears the Hawkesbury. Shorter travel means a cheaper line on your quote and an earlier start on your site.

We know these blocks

Steep battle-axe drives in Terrigal, sandy soil at Umina, waterfront lanes in Woy Woy — we set outriggers on this ground every week, with timber mats to spread the load where the Coast’s soil is soft.

Everything comes with the crane

Operator, rigging and the lift plan are part of every hire — you never just get a machine. Send a photo of the access and the load weight, and you’ll get a straight answer on the right crane, the price and the next free slot.

Questions

Crane hire Central Coast — FAQ

How much does crane hire cost on the Central Coast?+
Spider crane hire on the Central Coast runs from $195 per hour plus GST for the Maeda 285 and $205 for the bigger Maeda 305, always with a licensed operator included and a 6-hour site minimum. Because we mobilise from The Entrance rather than Sydney, the travel line on a Coast quote stays small. Send your load weight and an access photo for a fixed written quote.
Are you actually based on the Central Coast?+
Yes — our machines run out of a depot at The Entrance, alongside our Rydalmere depot for Sydney work. Coast jobs get a Coast start time, not a Sydney convoy.
Can you set up on a steep or sloping block?+
Steep driveways are standard work here. Spider crane outriggers set independently, so the crane levels itself on a slope, and we carry timber mats to spread the load. Send a photo of the driveway and we’ll confirm the setup spot before anyone mobilises.
What about sandy or soft ground?+
Plenty of the Coast is sand. Outrigger mats spread each leg’s load, and our tracked carrier runs rubber tracks with very low ground pressure — it crosses lawns, soft ground and finished surfaces without tearing them up.
Can you lift a pool or spa shell over the house?+
That’s the classic Central Coast lift, and it’s what the Maeda 305 is for — 12.52 m of hook height to carry a shell up and over the roofline and set it in the dig. If the reach is marginal we’ll tell you before booking, not on the day.
Do you install glass walls and balustrades?+
We crane them into place with the Glassboy 600 vacuum lifter — up to 600 kg of glass rotated and tilted in the air, set within millimetres. Glaziers do the fixing; we do the flying.
Which Central Coast suburbs do you cover?+
All of them — The Entrance, Terrigal, Erina, Gosford, Wyong, Tuggerah, Bateau Bay, Toukley, Avoca, Woy Woy, Umina Beach and everywhere between. We also run north toward Lake Macquarie and Newcastle for the right job.
Do you do after-hours or emergency lifts?+
Yes — we operate 24/7, and being local means an after-hours callout on the Coast doesn’t wait on a truck from Sydney. Call 0434 242 777.
